DMLT course equips the student with the primary skills to perform various roles in a medical pathology lab, from collecting blood/urine/stool samples to conducting various medical investigations. Although the diagnosis would be done by physicians, the certificate holder can take the desired readings and produce the report for the Physician to analyse. The growing demand for greater and easier accessibility to medical services including medical lab services in rural and remote areas is resulting in the need to have more of such professionals.
